Yippee!  We booked flights to go to Spain in Sept.  I will now have something else to look forward to when we get back from CA.  So excited! This time we are going to Costa Blanca. New places to explore. Cant wait, Cant wait, Cant wait.

I swear I could live in Spain.  We may even try to spend a year there before we move back to CA.

I have not been to Spain... yet. We had a trip booked for there last year, but I broke my back and we had to cancel.  Cry

We are going to the Isle of Man, Scotland and Florida this year, so it will probably have to wait til next year.

Congrats, Kelli! I know how much you *love* it there. How exciting to have that to look forward to.

As for us, no upcoming trips planned as of yet. DH has been mentioning Paris a few times lately and although he's been, I haven't and I think he wants to take me there. He was saying before Valentine's Day that he'd rather take me away for a weekend than feed into the commercialization of Valentine's Day. How could I argue with that?  Grin

Lucky you!  I've not been to Spain, although Jonathan & I have been talking about going to the Algarve in Portugal this summer, and if we do that, we'll take a side trip to Seville.

Jenny, I'd loved Paris.  You'll have to go!

Congratulations Kelli! Sounds like so much fun. I would love to go to Spain and thru the markets and pick up spices and try new things. One day we will. My hubs aunt lives there and we really need to see her as she is getting on in yrs. I believe she is in Malaga so that is where we will head when we go.

We were actually going to go there this summer but...we have a dog and I can't kennel her. I just can't so...instead I think we are renting a boat and going up the Norfolk Broads instead. We can take her with us.

you'll enjoy the Norfolk Broads. Some of my friends did the whole boat thing and stopping off at different pubs and doing all sorts of things, they had a blast...even though they dented the boat a bit because they misjudged the height of a bridge Shocked to this day, they haven't told me what happened.

Kelli, you sound so excited, I would be as well. We are planning on a get away this year, just the 2 of us. Ever since we got married we seem to go on holidays with either my family or his folks. The last time we really had holiday time together was our honeymoon and that was almost 5 years ago.

Honeymoon? What's a honeymoon? We were married in Texas and because his family come over from the UK and Australia, we didn't have the heart to take off. We promised each other we would do it later. We've been married a little more than 8 years now.  I am still waiting.... ROFL We tend to go on weekend breaks alone when we can.

oh honey, I waited 3 long years to marry this man and I needed a break from everyone Wink I had a lot of relatives that flew from the Philippines and Japan and part of me felt bad for going on our honeymoon the next day but we both needed a break because we were both working full time and going to Uni at the same time. Considering I didn't know what my exam and break schedule was for Uni, I did a damn fine job juggling the dates. The weekend before my wedding, some of my guests started arriving and I was doing the last of my final exams before we had a term break. Then a few days after we got back MR had to leave because he had his exams and I started my clinical work. It was hectic!

Heck, I got two honeymoons. One right after we got married. Went to Scotland for 4 days. Then a month later we went to Spain. You can afford to do this by not having a wedding. Me, DH, his dad and his dads girlfriend. 10 mins at the registry, 20 mins to change your clothes and then off you go.  Wink

Lol, a bit like my situation...but in reverse. My family flew over from Texas for my wedding and stayed here for a few days after. As newlyweds we took them up to the Lake District and on to Scotland so it was a family affair. We do try and get away on little breaks to make up for the no honeymoon and as we don't have any kids or pets, the only thing limiting us would be time and finances.

I'm going to Madrid this weekend on a school trip with 20 year 10 and 11 students.

I must be nuts.   Undecided
