Does anyone else ask for books for Christmas when asked to make a 'wish list'?  I usually have half a dozen, and am just starting to work on a list for this year.  One of them is a book about Bess of Hardwick (forget what it's properly called).  Then there's John Grisham's 'The Innocent Man'...and a book by a local author, Geoff Blore, entitled 'Dicky Blood's War'...it's his story of being evacuated as a nine-year-old Birmingham boy during World War II, and how much he loved being away from Yardley Wood and out onto a farm near Yoxall...

Not to say that my wish list is ever totally fulfilled, but I know there will be at least a couple under the tree!

I'm in the fortunate position of being married to a librarian, so can expect a large number of brilliantly chosen books every Christmas!  Thumb up

Oh, lucky you!

We don't have much space in this little flat, so I do think carefully about the books I request for now...they have to be good, special books to add to my own little library...I have about a dozen books in storage at my mom's in the US, just waiting for someday, when I have room for book shelves again...

I only want new books I intend to keep otherwise I get them from the library or charity shop.

Currently, I want the whole Chalet School series by Elinore M Brent-Dyer and the whole Tintin series. So I will be asking Santa to help me fulfill that goal.  Grin
