We cant get the little pop up windows to open all the way.  The ones I am talking about are like if you click on spell check it only opens half way. I cant see the whole window.  Its doing my head in. Any suggestions?

Which browser are you using, Kelli, and which version of that browser?  (Usually, selecting Help and then About will give you this information.)  And can you give us an idea of how large or small the spell-check window is when it opens?  It is never full-screen, but on my system it covers about 3/4 of the screen.

When the winodw is open try putting your curser on one of he botton corners, hold your mouse button down and drag it open larger. This might help.

I was going to suggest the same after the OP, but when I tried it myself, it wouldn't move at all, neither larger nor smaller!!  Question

That doesnt work.  I have tried it already.  This isnt just with spell check here, its with any web site.  I order from Tesco online and I cant get the pop up window to open fully.  What I mean is that they would normally show the whole bit of info they are set up to show. Now, they are just showing about 1/4. No matter what you do they just wont open fully. Its making me crazy.

The spell check here opens fully up and down but only by half width wise.   There are three boxes in the right corner, like with any page. The middle box is usually what you use. The restrore box. It is grey and wont let me do anything.  No arrows will show up on any side of the box so I cant expand it either.  Its making me crazy.  Boggle

This is beginning to sound like a Browser problem rather than a problem with this site (maybe it should have remained in the Tech section Howard!  Smiley)

Which browser do you use? I presume you have already checked the settings etc? Do you use a POp Up blocker at all - if so have you "told" it to accept pop ups from this site? (or any other you consider OK).

Let me know your Browser (and version) and I shall look into it for you

LOL, Steve!   Smiley  If that turns out to be the case I can excercise my rampant and notorious power-freakery (I am become Shiva, Destroyer of Worlds  Evil!) I'll move it back again!

Thanks very much for your help on this. Smiley

OK - if you go to Tools" then Options a window will open, select the third tab which is marked "Content" and at the very top there is an option to block pop ups, untick this and tell me if that solves the problem - if not then I go back into think mode and will work on it further.

Do you know which version of Firefox you are using? (check this by selecting help then About firefox)

Oh I knew that - but the words "I am become" were the ones used by Oppenheimer after the first atomic weopon trial

Thanks for that though (we shouldn't really hijack the thread though should we?)

Yeah I also notice in the "hello Goodbye" thread your reference to the TV show "Rhoda" (you thought I didn't see that one didn't you?)  Grin Grin
