American spelling in board descriptions
«

As I have said in another thread, when the boards were set up, a conscious effort was made to spell the board descriptions in the US fashion - to make our American cousins more comfortable here.
However, I think I've just noticed where a Commonwealth spelling has crept in. Has anyone else spotted it?

Almost, but not quite! We used the British word there rather than 'vacation' which we used elsewhere, because it's what we call vacation here. (We do use the word 'vacation' here, but only in the limited, sense of legal or university recesses.)
Keep trying!

Well the 2 which leapt out at my first glance were the spellings of..
Theater - for Theatre
and
Traveling - for Travelling
But they may not be the ones

Or perhaps 'travelogues' where we would say 'travelogs'

I think traveling and theater are okay as AmEng spelling?
'Birding' is certainly the word more frequently in America than 'birdwatching' - but's its rather the
spelling
rather than a different wording I'm quizzing about!
