I get to be the first to wish my darling Paula a very happy birthday for today (not mentioning the age as I would quite like to see the rest of the day out!)

hadn't

Thanks cookie! Terrific day....sun shining...no rushing around.....no stress......Sunday lunch out later......good movie while sitting on the comfy sofa eating fresh HOT popcorn and a glass of icy cold diet coke!
I could get use to that!

We've just been to a wonderful tapas restaurant in Leeds for birthday tea! Absolute wonderful! If you come to Leeds, you have got to try the food at Dos Amgios....ten minutes from my house! We are definitely going back there again!

Oh Paula! I'm so very sorry to have missed your birthday -- I've had a fluey type lergy and been a bit under the weather. I'm so glad you had a very happy one, which would have been my special wish for you had I been more on the ball. All the best to you, my dear friend!

Thanks, Howard! I rebelled against the thought of being 60 for a couple of days, but then I thought....what the h-e-double-hockey-sticks...it only a number (a HIGH number)!
It was fairly quiet, which suits me these days. I think my wild and wooly days are behind me
