Hi,

I'm a newbie and making my introduction. Some of you may know me from the American expats forum. I'm an American who has been living in the UK for most of his life. TBH I'm no longer sure if I'm a Yank with a lot of British influences, a Limey with an American background or if either of them is me.

Hello there!

I'm a newbie too, came from another UK/US forum--they seem to be popular don't they?--but not "the other place" American expat forum, don't know what that is really, but have heard it referred to several times in that circumspect way here.

So you've lived most of your life in the UK--lucky you! Do you have British heritage or did your parents work there?

Hi Sticky,

My dad was serviceman and my mom was a GI-bride. When I was teenager my dad had retired from the service and they decided to come here to settle. I've been on a working holiday ever since.
