The forum was updated some months ago, and since then I have trouble logging in.  I have this page bookmarked, but quite often when I go to it, it says "welcome guest...yada yada yada" and then won't let me log in.  It tells me to check my cookies but my cookies are okay.  Then I come back a while later and it says "Hey Peaches..."

What gives?  Anyone else having a similar problem?

Are you accessing the forum from different machines (e.g. home and work, or desktop and laptop)?  Do you have a firewall in place?

Another possibility is, when you do log in, do you select the "Forever" option, or one of the time-limited ones?  If you are selecting, e.g. "One Day", this would explain why your next visit after logging in, if within that time scale, would log you in automatically, but the next day you would be asked to log in again.

This problem only affects my computer at home, and the login does say "forever".  It's very strange.  It's preventing my accessing the forum as often as I would like.   Boggle

Are you running a firewall on that computer at home?  And are you sure that it is accepted the cookie - have you checked?  The problem is certainly something to do with the settings on your computer;  we just need to track down what!
