OK Just as a suggestion..... Why don't agree to have a Virtual "Send off" party here for Annie & Danny here on say.... Saturday night at 8pm (open to other suggestions) We can then all pass along our Bon Voyage's in person and get immediate replies from Annie in person, and she in turn can then experience the warmth we all feel for her and the best wishes we want to bestow upon her and DH.
Comments/thoughts/counter suggestions??

Not long now, Annie. I'm truly wishing you the best!
Thanks! Everything is done finally. Got a lump in my throat thinking about leaving my home.

Nice idea Steve.
Dh is already in Herts at his daughter's for his motorbike test, so I'm turning over the keys to our tenants, etc and flying down Saturday afternoon. We'll probably be at a pub Saturday night for a final proper fish and chips and beer. Leaving Heathrow Sunday night. Ugh...hate Heathrow!

Wee,
Have fun and here is to your adventure.
Thanks. Trying to think about the adventure like I have been looking forward to for months, and not thinking about the sadness of leaving my beloved home.

That's the best way of looking at it, hon.

As previously stated, this is a new adventure. Don't look behind you, but ahead.

The point is, how do you know the Guarantee Fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy, but we're not buying it. Next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser and your daughter's knocked up, I seen it a hundred times.

Once we arrive in Uganda I'll be thinking along different lines. Adventure! Being by myself with dh already in London this final week is making it tougher I think. Good vibes appreciated for dh passing his motorbike test tomorrow.
Can't believe I'm done with everything in the house. It's been pure stress and chaos. Wish we had a clue of the type of housing we'll have. Expecting basic and dingey, but it will be a good challenge to brighten it up with some of the nice and very inexpensive handmade items in the markets...some wall hangings, cushions, tablecloth, etc. Looking forward to simplicity....emmm...even though we are bringing the combined luggage limit of 200 pounds.

awesome...I shall be here Saturday night to wish you and your hubs a bon voyage.
Annie, you'll miss your home for a few weeks but once you start working down there and getting your bearings you'll soon feel at home there. Besides, it's not like you're leaving forever; 2 years really isn't that long. It will probably pass by with a blink of an eye and you'll wonder where the time went.

Ta Cherri. I probably won't be around until later in the evening though. Planning dinner and a good pis*up at a local pub with dh, SD and her dh.

Me neither. Snuck up on us. And I can't believe I finally have no nagging to do list hanging over my head anymore! Whew. I've been relaxing every night with beer and lime flavour doritos. Yum!!

Fingers crossed for your DH and his test tomorrow. May it be a dry day.
Where has the time flown? I can't believe you will be saying bye to us in just a day or so! You must post on your blig as soon as you can and let us know you have arrived safely. I can't wait to hear about your new house and adventures.

Poor baby has had rain during every day of lessons. A dry day tomorrow would be very helpful.
It's been sunny up here.
If I don't have internet right away I can always pop into an internet cafe. There are loads of them.

Cheryl reminded me...good luck to your DH tomorrow Annie!
there's nothing better than lime flavoured Doritos and an ice cold beer for chilling out, unless of course you've got a pitcher of margaritas sitting next to you as well
